"To achieve this look for the cable drum, I started with a base coat to define the overall colour. Then, I added layers to bring out the wooden texture, using a light dry brushing technique to highlight the edges and details. A wash was applied to deepen the grooves and make the wood grain stand out more. The metal parts received a coat of metallic paint, followed by a bit of weathering to give it a used and slightly rusty appearance. The painting process is straightforward, and with a bit of patience, hobbyists can achieve a similar result." - Stuart
